Huddle.net named in 2009 Magic Quadrant for Social Software in the Workplace

October 28, 2009

Huddle.net has been named in the Visionary Players quadrant in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Social Software in the Workplace*. Gartner positioned Huddle in the Visionaries quadrant because of the speed at which its product has evolved through partnerships and its innovative viral adoption model.

“2009 has been an amazing year for Huddle. Being positioned as a Visionary Player in Magic Quadrant further demonstrates how much we have achieved in the last 12 months,” said Alastair Mitchell, co-founder and CEO. “New features and partnerships mean that our customers can enjoy now Huddle anywhere, on any device, in multiple languages and on all key social networks across the globe.”

Huddle offers a complete suite of hosted collaboration tools including project management, file sharing, team collaboration and voice and web conferencing in a single, business application. It enables teams to work better together both inside and outside the enterprise. With unlimited users included with every package, Huddle can scale from small teams to large deployments rapidly and at low cost.

According to Gartner, visionaries in the market demonstrate a strong understanding of current and future market trends and directions, such as the importance of a flexible and transparent collaboration environment, as well as the value of mutual reinforcement between tools that encourage user contribution and tools that encourage bottom-up group and structure formation. Their products and product road maps display a penchant for innovation, especially in terms of architecture and lightweight integration, while their marketing and R&D efforts are boosted by their alignment with the opensource ecosystem.
