The position
Well-funded and growing quickly, Huddle is looking for a passionate Head of User Experience to join our 35-strong team at its Central London office to work closely with the Product and Development teams and reporting to the VP of Product.

The job description
User Experience is about passion, about a drive to fight for what is right, never mind what anyone else says. Shoot down ideas, build something new. How is that for a job description?

You know you’re right because you have met the people who work in Huddle, who rely on it for everything they build, dream and create. That’s important, it’s not about gut feelings or flashes in pans. You asked real people and got real answers. Use that; use it to your advantage as a champion for a brilliant User Experience. That is you, brilliant at what you do as a champion of the people who matter.

You gather and analyse information from all kinds of users through focus groups, interviews and surveys.

The Information Architecture you build is based on user goals and real-world workflows, not guesses or assumptions. You design the interface from concept through wireframe to mockups/designs, and work hand in hand with the Development team as those designs are developed and realised.

You test, test and test some more. Both quick and dirty and slow and methodical. From paper prototyping to lab testing. Whatever suits the stage and your needs. And then you test some more.

You fly solo but you are an excellent companion and collaborate closely with the product and development teams. Together you iterate and improve, both old and new.

You own the Huddle interface and the UX. You answer to our users. Are you the new UX champion at Huddle?

The boring bit

  • You will have at least 5 years relevant experience
  • You will enjoy evangelising UX and be highly skilled at doing so
  • You will be a skilled designer with an eye for great interfaces
  • You will share the values associated with Agile software development
  • You will enjoy working hands on in a fast paced environment
  • You will be driven, dedicated and motivated by constant improvement
